Hi
Tried the official support route but not working for me.
Motherboard : GA-Z68X-UD5-B3
BIOS : F10
Connections / what I want to achieve is:
SATA 0 - Non RAID SATA HDD - OS boot drive (Win XP 64)
SATA 1 - Non RAID SATA HDD - HDD
SATA 2 - SATA DVD-ROM
SATA 3 - RAID HDD
SATA 4 - RAID HDD
SATA 5 - RAID HDD
The OS (XP 64) is already installed - so it's not a from scratch install.
I change BIOS "PCH SATA COntrol Mode" to "RAID(XHD)" and change nothing else.
Then set RAID up as attached pic.
Set to boot from the SATA 0, non-raid disk with XP 64 pre-installed but I always end up with the message:
"Loading operating System ...
A disk read error occurred"
Even when all disks are non-RAID but with "RAID(XHD)" configured it doesn't boot.
Official support and manual talk about installing drivers before installing OS - but I already have the OS installed.
Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong ?
So I have to start from scratch with OS ?
TIA
