guys last night i removed hte HDD from my eSATA case, and plugged it directly to the motherboard esata ports and ran some power to it out the side of the case.. (used an old eSATA - SATA cable) and it worked straight away.
went dow to the pc store and picked up a new eSATA case and was all good. not to say the case it self was faulty coz it worked fine with my 160gb drive , and with my 1tb drive for several months on all my pcs with out isues. it is a conflict in the circutry used in the case that upset my mobo.
im now running the F6 bios, Marvel drivers from the gigabyte site, and NO storage utility.
in BIOS i have both eSATA and GSATA set to AHCI (hotswap) as i understand IDE settings isnt compatable with hotswap
in device manager under storage controlers it shows 2x marvell 91xx chips
maybe it was jsut my case all along. maybe a combo of everything but in the end it turned out was simply the ESATA / USB case i had didnt like my mobo wile using a 1tb drive.
BTW..... the Gsta ports if im not mistaken are top 2 grey ports on the mobo. and they work fine on my pc have all along coz thats what my SSD is running off.
thanks for all the feed back it has helped alot.
P.S still waiting for gigabyte to get back to me. and now i have sent a email to the people that make my ESATA case as well.
