Hi all: first post. I’ve been trying to use the recently released Nvidia force-enable-gen3 fix for the x79 (socket 2011) to get my PCI-E to run version 3.0 rather than 2.0. I’ve a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit with updates. I tried Nvidia 301.42 and 304.79 beta drivers without success. Just got off the phone with Gigabyte support and they say there’s no 3.0 setting in the bios (F10). Any help would be appreciated.
I7 3820, X79-UD3, 16gb ram, Windows 7 on SSD, 2 GTX 670’s with bridge but sli not enabled, 5760 x 1080 @ 120Hz. Looking to expand to 3 or 4 way sli for 3D surround.
