hi guys
just completed a budget build today using the following main components
1) gigabyte H61MA-DV2 ...( bios F1)
2) intel pentium G620
3) 4gb ddr3 ( 1333mhz )
basically the build went fine and installed windows 7 (64bit) without any problems.... then when i installed the chipset drivers ( which you should allways install before other drivers ) i restarted the pc and just after the windows 7 loading screen it blue screens and restarts ....does not do this prior to chipset driver installation
after some research it appears the bios needs to be F4 or better for the pentium G620 to work correctly ....... so i presume this is what caused the blue screen
am i correct in thinking the latest bios version for this board is F4 .... and is q flash the best bios update method ?
