gigabyte x58a-ud7 northbridge

hi ive been looking everywhere and cant seem to find the standered heatsink that goes on the northbridge on the gigabyte x58a-ud7 in replace of the waterblock i currently have a watercooled system but im going back to air cooling on it.

any help appreciated

Hi and welcome.

You are only having trouble finding one because it doesn't exist. The original is the watercooling block with the option of being able to add a "Hybrid Silent-Pipe Module" next to it. If you are intending to air cool then it would be advisable to fix this unit to the board. Either way the waterblock stays where it is.

oh ok thanks i just wondered cus ive seen pics like the one attached with a heatsink on it instead of the waterblock.

so if use the Hybrid Silent-Pipe Module will it matter if the waterblock isnt capped off as i havent got the little black caps that were in it when new.

Hi i have the full original set if you need them give me an offer, i removed them before i ever used the mobo so there in perfect condition with all the acc screws etc etc
