Im having a problem with the GA-G41MT-D3 motherboard and my core 2 duo E6420.
When i first tried using this board i couldnt get any windows install disks to work without a BSOD after turning off the CPU Enhanced Halt and EIST options in the bios i was able to install windows but after a while i get a bsod this happens everytime without fail. After playing around with the bios ive noticed if i increase the cpu host frequency (currently i have it at 333) the blue screens stop and everything seems to run great but it just wont work on stock settings. Ive also noticed if i decrease the mutiplier or turn back on EIST the blue screens will return. I think this is some sort of problem with the bios since once im in windows i can decrease the host frequency back to stock with easy tune without any problems.
I dont mind having to overclock it as i probably would have ended up doing it anyway but i want to be able to enable EIST to save power.
Any know anyway to fix this?
