SSD + RAID on Intel ports? (D3H)

SSD + RAID on Intel ports? (D3H)
« on: August 19, 2012, 06:25:10 pm »
I am trying to set up my 2 (non RAID) SSD Disks on the Intel 6Gbs ports and my RAID volumes on the Intel 3Gbs  ports, leaving the Marvell controller for DVD and e-Sata. Everytime I do this I get a STOP 0x0000007B BSOD when Windows starts, after I set the SATA mode to RAID. Set to AHCI works every time, set to RAID crashes every time. Putting the SSDs on the Marvell controller also works, but I'd rather use the Intel controller for them. The DVD seems to work Ok on port 5, but not the SSDs on port 0,1.
I have 1x 256Gb and 1x128GB Corsair M4s, 2x 2Tb Seagate Barracuda and 2x 1Tb WD Caviar Blacks, plus an optical and an e-sata  drive bay. Windows 64 Ultimate is installed on the 256Gb M4, the 128 Gb is used for paging and scratch, the user directory is on the 1Tb RAID, data is on the 2Tb RAID.
The CPU is a 3770k with 32Gb at 1866 and the GPU is a Radeon 6950. Not overclocking anything at the minute. Bios is F9, Intel 11.2.0.1006, and Marvell 1.2.0.1019, as up to date  as I can find.
Anybody know how to do this?
Thanks RichardH

I guess that I should add that the motherboard is the GA Z77X-D3H!
