TRIM now available for SSD RAID
« on: August 28, 2012, 12:49:09 pm »
If you have wanted to set up a RAID0 array with some shiny new SSDs but have been put off because of the fact that TRIM wouldn't be available to help keep the drives healthy you can now go ahead. Intel has included the ability to run TRIM on SSDs now as long as you use  a 7 series motherboard chipset. Technically there is no reason why this couldn't be made available for previous chipsets but that maybe an Intel marketing ploy.

You can get the latest IRST drivers here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21730
