Back in 09, I somehow "upgraded" the CMOS to a rev 1.0/1.1 update. The mobo has worked fine ever since.. Very stable, ive oc'd my C2Q9550 to 4ghz with not too much effort. However, after the flash I lost onboard analog audio, so I just slapped an Audigy2 PCI card in and said forget it. Everything else works dandy. Now, I am converting this machine to an HTPC and want to flash it back to a 1.6 rev firmware. Gigabyte's FLASHSPI refuses any cmos other than 1.0/1.1 and so does QFLASH. I am positive the board is 1.6, it says it on the board and on the box it came it. Is there some sort of way to force a 1.6 flash onto it somehow without any consequences? As of now I have F10 loaded onto this 1.6 rev board, I am not sure what is stored in the backup bios.
