GA-78LMT-S2P [Rev 4.0] Gaming problem
« on: October 02, 2012, 12:12:27 am »
Hello, I am trying to play Total war Shogun 2 and Counter Strike: GO after I purchased them from steam. After i try to start the games my computer freezes then does a force restart, and after doing a little bit of research it was said that I would have to flash my BIOS. After going to the Gigabyte website and getting the proper bios I tried to run the exe and got this error.

"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running.Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."

On there gigabyte website there is no where to choose 32 or 64bit so can someone help me with my problem is there any other way to get these games working or a place I over looked for downloading the proper files?

Specs

OS- Windows 7 professional 64 bit SP1
CPU- AMD FX - 4100
MB model - GA-78LMT-S2P Rec 4.0
8 Gigs of DDR3  ram

Use Q-Flash to update your BIOS.
Just unzip the file you downloaded as BIOS from Gigabyte page ,put the contents on a USB stick and then go into BIOS and choose the Q-Flash menu. And make sure the mobo page is for the right version of the board.
