northbridge temp in a G41M-ES2L?
« on: December 09, 2009, 11:27:57 pm »
Anyone else found that there isn't a functional northbridge temp sensor on this board?  HWMon doesn't have one nor does everest.  I ran the ET6 util from Gigabyte and it reports the system temp as 100 C which is hopefully a mistake.

100 C for system temp: ET6 sometimes shows wrong info, to fix it try to use the latest bios F6 and the latest ET6

check the system temperature from bios hardware monitoring, should be more accurate

northbridge temp sensor is found in new mobos (like intel P55 based), not in this G41

F6 is installed and I have the latest ET6.  I think you'tr mistaken about the sensors. Even my oldest board has a NB chip sensor (Asus A7M266).  My P35 board does too.  The BIOS doesn't show the NB temp by the way...

bios and HWMon doesn't show NB temp in this mobo because simply it does not have it
if you find it please let all know about it here
