16GB Memory for GA-Z77-UD5H

16GB Memory for GA-Z77-UD5H

Hi

I am in the process of collecting parts for my new computer so it is not a working build.

I have sitting in a draw a brand new GA-Z77-UD5H rev 1.0 motherboard. On reading about problems with this motherboard, (blue screens & Shut-downs) I am a little apprehensive as what components will work reliably with this board. Has Gigabyte sorted these problems by the way? It was purchased from Amazon on 24 August so unsure of the BIOS.

I propose a Gigabyte GTX650 OC graphics and a Core i5-3470 processor (I do not intend to overclock at all). In order to achieve 16GB of RAM which components are recommended in 2 x 8GB config. I have checked the compatible memory list on the the Gigabyte website but @ 1600MHz the only ram sticks are Corsair CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10 which I am unsure of as Corsair have been having reliability issues, which I have experienced first hand. Thought of Kingston KHX16C10B1RK2/16X but would appreciate the input of people of more expertise than myself.

Kind Regards

Just a quick update to my post:

I was advised that populating all four ram slots can stress the memory controller - don't see how but there you go. So I decided to go the twin chip route. Also contacting Kingston customer services was informed that KINGSTON KHX16C10B1K2/16X will work with the Z77-UD5H.

Thanks to all that looked
