ga-x58a-ud7 win7ult 64-bit : Raid driver missing ?

Clean install win7ult 64 bit.  Drivers from gigabyte download.  All is well, EXCEPT Raid:
In device manager raid-unit not found.
Have downloaded "f6glpy-x64" but no setup in this one.
Also downloaded "64bit", contains some raid-files, but no setup.
A win-search for drivers in these folders, and no driver found.
Please advise.

Hi

I have exactly the same motherboard and I used to use it for my main system. Back then I had Win7 64 bit OS and a RAID setup along with my ordinary hard drives and it worked fine. Maybe it would pay you to try some of the older drivers instead.

Can you give us an idea of the rest of your system so we have a better knowledge of what you are running. Are you used to setting up RAID arrays or is this new to you ?

My BIG mistake. Forgot that I had a revodrive on the pcie-port. This build has been lying around for some time,
half finished. Sorry ! 
The win7 was installed on ordinary hdd
The raid-unit found in device manager is of course the revo, found drivers on ocz.com,
and all is well.  One puzzle though:
What are the drivers foud on gigabyte-site:
"x64" sata raid and "f6flpy-x86" gsata boot ??

Glad that yiou have realised the error and managed to sort it out. I have the same Revodrive and it is easy to forget that they are the boot drive once installed. Very fast though. My other SSDs can't match it for speed.

The drivers on the Gigabyte site are just the normal 32 and 64 bit drivers to set up a normal RAID array. You have to make sure that you install them in the right order though to work properly.

ok, thanks. My puzzle is that these 2 drivers for raid, although I am not using raid at present, does NOT have en "setup" in them.
dont know how to install them.  Or maybe they can only be installed if raid is selected oin bios ?

Still puzzled re these 2 f6 preinstall drivers.
Should I have used them during the initial win7 installation ? (I did not)
Or does win7 have built in raid.drivers so that these preinstall-drivers are not needed ?
  (in that case, why are they listed for download at the gigabyte site ??

Hi

Don't worry about it as you didn't nned them anyway. They are just for offering up when you have selected RAID in the BIOS and you press F6.
