More details about all 900-series motherboars are available here ("Bulldoze Your Way to Performance") (http://www.gigabyte.com/MicroSite/281/900-series.html).

Very smart looking boards and almost enough to even tempt me! I am sure absic and co will be extremely happy to see these. ;D
-
Bah!.... Humbug!
Joking aside, some pretty nice looking boards now all we need is some info from AMD about the "Bulldozer" CPU's to go with them. Nice to see that Gigabyte are making the higher end boards in black and I really can't wait to get my grubby little mitts on one of these babies!
-
I am sure one of these top boards will be on it's way to you as we speak! I mean the moderator needs to know how it works after all. 8)
-
What, only one!! ???
I thought I would be getting a sample of each design for full testing and review along with a selection of CPU's.
-
You mustn't be greedy. You have got to leave something for next week!
-
Any news of when they are coming out? Cant make my mind up on which one I want
-
Hi there,
should be available in the UK from early June (next couple of weeks). The first to hit the shelves will be the UD3 followed soon after by the UD5 & UD7.
-
Now I really need to see which one I want to get
Wont probably get it until I get a new phone anyway
-
Scrub the phone you can always use skype! ;)
-
Meh, I can run skype on my current phone :P
Its just that the phone Im looking at gets released at about the same time, but the manufacturer is kinda famous for delaying products (and updates) anyway.
Lets see on how much money I have and what comes out first, bearing in mind I will also have to buy some DDR3 memory for the board (assuming I can still use a SATA 2 3gb/s drive)
-
The drive shouldn't be a problem at all as they are backwards compatible.
-
Anyone got an idea on pricing for these boards? I'd love one of the Black ones but I need ot know how much I've gotta save. :'(
-
To be honest I'm not sure but I have asked Gigabyte the question.
For the UD5 & UD7 I guess they will be around the £150 - £180 mark based on cost of similar 8 series boards but, as I say, this is just a guess.
Still, on the bright side, once they hit the shelves we will all know how much they cost and until then we can just dream about owning one! :D
-
Just seen these boards available as pre-order items in the UK at the following prices:
GA-990XA-UD3 - £99.95
GA-990FXA-UD5 - £169.99
GA-990FXA-UD7 - £209.99
this is at AriaPC more info here: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Motherboards/AMD+AM3%2B+%28900+Chipset%29/
I'm sure there will be other suppliers showing these boards soon and you might find them at better prices elsewhere....... hopefully. :P
-
Thanks I'd better start saving then. :D
-
UD5 looks like its gonna be the one I get then!
-
I have just updated OP with the latest presentations about 990FXA-UD7 and 990FXA-UD5.
Have a look at today news (http://uk.gigabyte.com/press-center/news-page.aspx?nid=1021) too.
-
If only AMD would pull their corporate fingers out and release BullDozer too. ;D
-
Ah DM,
AMD are probably just making sure they don't fall into the same trap that Intel did a few months back. I'd sooner have something that works properly but takes a little longer to come along. ;)
-
Quite absic ! I think we would all agree with that one but don't tell me you are not getting tired of waiting. ;)
-
As my old Mum often says: "All good things come to those who wait."
But I bet these processors are like London buses.... we'll be waiting for ages for them to come along, then loads will come at the same time and we will all get confused as to which one we should be getting. Oh well, such is life!
At least with the new 9 Series motherboards coming along now, we can choose that and get ready for a CPU upgrade in a little while. That at least will spread the cost out for some of us! ;D
-
Yes thta is at least a bonus if done like that. Not something that is normally possible on the Intel platform mores the pity.
-
I have posted a new article regarding the Bulldozer processors here: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,5558.msg44809.html#msg44809
It seems as if we will have to wait until September, at the earliest for these new chips. :'(

Just curious. I'm waiting for AMD Vishera CPUs and planned to buy GA-990FXA-UD7. In fact, I have a problem with that now. I've read somewhere that this motherboard is discontinued. Is it true? Should I wait for motherboards with new AMD 10-series chipsets?

These are good high quality Game boards. You can purchase it and enjoy heavy to heavy game with the help of this Game Card.
Thanks for Sharing.

I use 990xa-ud3 with fx 6300 processor. Very cool and efficient mobo, the only issue I have is usb 3.0 connections.
