Hi,
I checked the driver version reported in GPU-Z for my HD6850 and in 32-bit win7 it reports 8.801 and in my dual boot 64-bit win7 it reports 8.782.
On Gigabyte download site, the current driver for the card is listed as 8.782 for both 32 and 64 bit win7.
So I download the 32-bit driver to update, but inside the packade there is the old 8.801 driver.
On the pre-install screen it reports version 8 801 will install and this is effectively what happens. No sight of 8.782.
In 64-bit the new version installs fine.
So I am thinking that the installer is containing the old driver by mistake. All download locations have the same installer (CRC32 checked).
Could someone confirm this, or point me to a place where I can get the updated driver for 32-bit win7?
Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
Have you tried checking on the AMD website to see what download they have listed for the 32 bit driver?

Hi,
I found that the new catalyst version from AMD includes ATI display driver 8.812, so the problem is solved that way.
Thanks!

I had a feeling it did but I wasn't sure. Anyway all sorted now then. ;)
