Hi
I have a launch GTX 560Ti OC
Core Clock 900 MHz
Shader Clock 1800 MHz
Memory Clock 4000 MHz
Ever since i received it it has been unstable, on contacting gigabyte they suggested I upped the voltage a bit and if that worked then i could download a new bios for the card which would make it permenant (save me running afterburner all the time)
well, after over 12 months I am happy it is stable so I now want to update the bios, however I have read there are now 3 revisions of this card - I presume mine is the 1st.
the only bios file i can find is
vga_bios_gv-n560oc-1gi_f6.13.23.32.42.exe
Am I right in saying that this execuatable will have a bios for all 3 cards (sorry I do not have access to a windows box at moment to test)
if not can someone please supply a link for the newest bios for the launch card please. I am thinking of selling the card soon, but do not want to put a buyer off by telling them they have to run a 3rd party app to keep it stable.
I assume vga_utility@bios.exe will be the software i need to perform the flash
thanks
Mike,.

Hi
The firmware file you have discussed in your post should be the correct one for your card if you have the revision 1.0 card however to make sure I would really need the proper model number of your board. It would be something like GV-N560OC-1GI.
You can also use the utility @BIOS to run the firmware update.

Hi thanks for your reply
I gave it a go last night and it seems to have flashed ok.
stock voltage according to msi afterburner is now 1.05v. Stupidly I did not check what the stock voltage was before.
is this the correct "new" voltage for the card or is this still too low?
thanks
M.
(the bios AFTER the update was showing at either F13 or F23 - I cant remember DOH! are these both the newest bioses for the revision of their cards.)

incidently has anything else been done in the bios apart from upping the voltage?
I benchmarked on batman arkham city using my overclocked profile on the old bios before flashing
cant remember my settings but the result was
(fps)
min 24 max 60 (vsync on) average 52
after the flash i benched again at stock speeds (ie 900/1800) and it gave the same result as my old overclocked profile. (not bad as it was running slower clock and memory)
I then put the settings back to my overclocked profile and got
min30, max 60 (vsync again) average 54.
the minimum frame rate of 24 to 30 is actually a pretty tidy jump, so either Gigabyte have managed to tweak something, OR batman arkham city benchmark is a poor benchmarking app.
cheers
M.

You still didn't give me the model number, but ignoring that for the moment, both the F13 and F23 firmware files are for different versions of the boards so it doesn't help much.
Batman - Arkam Asylam is used a lot for benchmarking so I would assume that it is fairly accurate for figures. Anyway you seem to have done what you wanted and received a good upgrade in the process so all is well!
