Title: Gigabyte bios update page broken?
Post by: mosam8 on October 27, 2017, 10:30:12 pm
Hello,

I installed a new CPU (A10-7890k) and I started having BSODs (KERNAL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE). At first, I assumed it was a driver issue, but it still persisted after updating everything. Then I thought I received a faulty CPU, so I installed the old one back in and send the A10 7890K back for a replacement. As expected, while I was waiting for a replacement to arrive, the old CPU didn't cause any BSODs for 2 days that I had it installed. The new one arrived and same things started to happen once I installed it.

I noticed that my BIOS version is F7, and checked the compatibility version for the CPU is F8d. So I tried to go on the bios update page and the words are overlapping with each other and I am unable to download the bios update. (link to bios update: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-F2A88XM-DS2-rev-30-31#support-dl). I've tried different browsers but its still the same.

Here is my PC component list:

Motherboard: F2A88XM-DS2 (P0
Graphics card: 4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 380 Series
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 810MHz
Previous CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) x4 740
New CPU: AMD A10-7890K

Hi,
Yes, something is wrong with that products site. I tried both the US and UK, and both failed to display properly as you describe.  Open a ticket with support, I imagine they can fix it fairly quickly.

Customer service or if you can find site feedback:

EDIT - This download page is broken too.  They'll realize it shortly.
