Title: Ivy Bridge very Disappointed!
Post by: Redeemer on November 19, 2012, 12:00:31 am
I was not expecting much in terms of overclocking when I put this sytem together certainly not the easy 5.0Ghz Sandy blessed us with

I find it very difficult to keep my system stable @ even 4.5-4.6GHZ, temps are 89-92c
I have set the Multiplier to 46 and vcore to 1.34
LLC to Turbo
CPU-Z reports vcore @ 1.356?  but drops down to 1.32v when running prime??

I even tried DVID set vcore to normal and set the DVID +0.12, so the DVID plus the 1.22 stock vcore= 1.34.  When I bench using prime the vcore jumps up to 1.4+ for some reason even with LLC set to extreme.

My specs
UD5H F15d
i7 3770k
H100
2133 8GB
OCZ 1000w

Its very possible that I am doing something wrong and have a really crappy chip!

What bios settings related to overclocking do you have?
