Title: h55m-ud2h 16gb - 2x8gb of ram?
Post by: brandonpotter on July 08, 2015, 08:20:10 am
Will the h55m-ud2h rev 1.3 work with an i5-650 and 16gb (2x8gb) of ram as the specs say 16gb (4x4gb) of ram?

People with a i5-650 on other brands of board are running 16gb (2x8gb).

The last F11 bios for this board says better ram compatibility but it doesn't say in what way.

Thanks

1.4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory

which means each socket supports 4 gig max  memory.

Looks like 2x8gb will work but not 4x8gb

autotech is correct at 4gb max.

The person in the above link is mistaken by their results. :(

The Bios and the boot screen memtest shows the correct size of the 8gb modules but the OS only sees each stick as 4GB each.
