Title: Wake on lan
Post by: ecvogel on October 01, 2010, 10:55:57 pm
Hello,

I use LogMeIn Free and with works account I can wake up the PC's. I cannot find the WOL in the bios. Where is it? Is it under a different name?
ga-790xta-ud4 Latest bios.

Thank you,
Eric Vogel

If I am not mistaken it is enabled by default and a magic packet will wake the system. If you check your manual on page 53 it suggests this although I must admit it doesn't make it clear.

EuP Support
Determines whether to let the system consume less than 1W power in S5 (shutdown) state. (Default: Disabled)
Note: When this item is set to Enabled, the following four functions will become unavailable:
PME event wake up, power on by mouse, power on by keyboard, and wake on LAN.

I found it without reading the manual and enabled it. I guess it needs to be disabled and it was already disabled....
I have the wake pc on lan adapter and magic packet checked. Anything else you guys can think of?
