Title: GA-X58A-UD3R Unable to remove smart6
Post by: AK40Se7eN on September 30, 2010, 08:16:49 am
Hi, I was having issue with my gigabyte motherboard and I switched to another brand, but now I can't uninstall smart6. When I try to remove it, it will say "Can not find the SMI port!", then "Password failed. Input password error." Is there any way to uninstall it? Thanks.

If I have understood you question correctly then you now have a different motherboard installed but still using the rest of your hardware.
If that's the case then you will have to format the hard drive and re-install Windows anyway to get a stable sytem. That should remove all traces of the Smart6 software anyway.
