I have a GA-MA785GM-US2H and Athlon II X3. This was purchased as a combo for a good price on Newegg. This combo is currently being used in an HTPC. The third core is unnecessary. Is there any way to disable the third core so I can help reduce heat and watts. MSI has a setting called CPU core control that lets you turn each core (except 0) on or off. Is this feature present on the GA-MA785GM-US2H ?
Thank you

Hi,
If memory serves me correctly then yes, the motherboard does support this but you might need to update to the latest BIOS first.

Thanks. I have the parts but am waiting on the case before I install everything. When I do I will update the bios if necessary and look around for this option.
