After installing ATI 5770 my computer makes 3 popping at start. My comp pops then my dvd drive starts to spin then second pop, drive starts to spin then third pop then drive( the pop or click is coming from the little speaker in the computer) starts to spin then computer starts as normal...Also, just like the model 4650 I just installed prior to the 5770,right after start my usb keyboard and
usb mouse did not work.I had to connect them with older adapters.(non usb)
Note: after the initial symtoms I described above the computer works and sounds normal for hours of use!
Temp stays at 45 celcius...
I also notice something else at startup, the fan surges for a split after I hit power on, then normal!

Hi Denny and welcome to the forum,
OK, let's deal with the easy thing first. The initial "Surge" of the fans on the Graphics Card is normal. You should hear my 4850X2 at start up, it sounds like a jet taking off but then settles down to it's idle speed so you don't need to worry about that.
Without actually hearing the "Popping/Click" sound it is hard to say for certain what the cause is. Did this start when you installed the 5770 or was it there before? Could you record the noise and post it for us to listen to? Sometimes, although annoying, these little pops and clicks are nothing to worry about and can be caused by many things. If the system runs perfectly fine after the BOOT process I don't think I would be to concerned.
When you say your USB Keyboard and Mouse do not work at what stage do you notice this? Is it once you are actually in Windows that they stop working? What make and model are your keyboard and mouse?

You have probably neglected to enable Legacy USB Devices in the BIOS.

Yes, having double checked the User's Manual it appears that these options are Disabled in BIOS by default on your Motherboard and would need to be set to enabled. You will find the options for this under the BIOS heading Integrated Peripherals.

I'm sure these Gents will sort your problem out but thought I'd just remind them of a similar problem I had http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,2116.0.html when I upgraded to a 5770 (from Nvidia 8800 GT's ) using the same motherboard (REV 2). If you think that this could be the same problem then they should be able to sort it for you.

Hi Paul,
thanks for the heads up, it's sometimes easy to miss similar problems. I have forwarded the FHm BIOS and hopefully this will help.
