Hi and welcome to the forum. I have asked for this thread to be moved to the proper place.
I don't know what type of television signal you get broadcast over there, is it analogue or digital?
-
Another thought, have you installed the drivers? If not you can download them fromhere: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2781#dl
-
i use analog signal. and installed all drivers from the cd.
idk is this usual problem or just happened to me.

Is it only the remote control that doesn't work or is nothing on the tv receiver working?
Also how does the remote control communicate with the computer, is it through a USB port?
-
Hi DM,
The GT-P5100 TV card is PCI based and the remote works via an IR cable that is actually plugged into the Card with the sensor for the remote attached to the monitor or elsewhere in view of the Remote Wand.
With this in mind MilosPZS, is the remote sensor attached correctly to the card (it hasn't come loose or been pulled out when you have moved your PC) and do you have a clear line of sight from the Remote Wand to the sensor?
Also, what motherboard and revision number are you using?
-
i actually dont know what is motherboard.
here is some info
amd athlon x64 x2 dual core 2.2
nvidia ge force 8500
2 gb ram.
-
OK
To find out what your motherboard model is you can actually find it printed on the motherboard. The Rev. No is usually printed on the bottome left-hand edge of the motherboard.
-
The make, model and revision number are normally printed on the face of the motherboard in white paint.
;D ;D ;D ;D

It's a BIOStar. Details are here:

-
i know it is biostar.but i didnt fix the problem yet. please reply :((
-
Reason we were asking about your mobo was to see if there were newer drivers or BIOS that might help. Have you checked that you are running the latest BIOS and drivers for your system?
I have to admit that I don't know much about the TV Card that you have bought so sorry if my questions seem a bit simple.
Is it only the remote control that doesn't work or is nothing on the tv receiver working?
Can you use the TV card without the Remote Control via the software on the PC?
-
of course i can watch tv,everything is working percectly but remote doesnt work. think its imposible for tv card to stop working one day after buying it.
can u give me the link to update bios?
-
I think it is impossible for a remote control to stop working one day after getting it too ::) Your motherboard is BIOstar not Gigabyte so you would need to go to their site for any updated drivers or BIOS.
-
Sorry, I don't think a BIOS or Driver update is actually suitable for this situation.
If the TV Card is working then the problem is more than likely due to the Remote Control or the IR Receiver.
Where have you placed the IR Receiver? It needs to be located so your Remote Control has a clear line of sight to it.
