Post by: Metaphilos on December 01, 2015, 08:03:13 pm
I have a GA-EX58-UD5 motherboard and would like to know if it can run Windows 10 and the GTX 970 Graphic card?

Going to windows 10 with a board that is 7 yrs old you are taking a chance you might not have all the drivers for it. The drivers list only goes to windows 7. I have a friend that runs windows 10 on Evga H55 board. His board is 8 yrs old.

How with the video card it is a 3.0 card and you board & CPU support 2.0 cards. Now yes they say the card is backward compatible. But again you are taking a chance that it might not work. I myself have run a His 7870 card on that series board.

I'm saying not to do it, but I would really think about before I would take that big step. We are having problems with windows 10 on the newest Z170 boards out there. But that could be that these boards are too new to windows 10.

I just check and maybe why my friend can run windows 10. That Evga has a chip-set drivers for windows 10 & 8/8.1.
