Title: Realtek Manager doesn work anymore after windows 10 1809 update
Post by: Sjonnie on December 11, 2018, 02:01:23 pm
I have the MB GA-970A-DS3P rev 2.1 and last weekend I updated windows 10 to Windows version 1809
From that moment on the Realtek HD Audio Manager does not work anymore and I can only use my 5.1 speaker set as 2.0

What have I done so far:

- I have tried multiple gigabyte drivers
-I have tried many realtek drivers
-I have tried many drivers from the Microsoft®Update catalog
-I have switched off the audio in the bios and uninstalled everything from Realtek and removed it manually
Then switched on again and installed again
- on the internet there is a lot of talk about this phenomenon and the debt to Realtek is given which has not yet released new drivers for the new update of windows 10
Reinstalling Windows is not recommended because it does not help (this is my opinion too)

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Finally we managed to install a good non-cracking UAD driver including realtek manager
Yesterday there was suddenly no sound at all and I saw that windows update had another driver installed.
I put it back again but how do I disable this that windows update does not update this driver?
(have now temporarily turned off windows update completely)

Greetings,
W10 Pro offers the ability to rollback, pause and defer updates.

Rollback allows you to revert to a previous build (example 1809 > 1803)
Pause toggle (Advanced options) pauses all updates
Defer - offers several options allowing you to specify how early you want to install features based on their release.  Example "Semi-Annual Channel" [Targeted - non-Targeted] gives you the ability to defer features based on release date and maturity.  You are not going to place yourself at any risk disabling updates for a month or two until a newer compatible sound driver is released.

After struggling around for 2 months I send the mobo back to webshop and I am sure the realtek chip is broken so I/m gonna get my money back
Bought a AM4 system with MSI mobo, its double the price but also double reliable

The Audio Manager is under R in the Start menu called *Realtek Audio Console*

it's all there and even better than the original..
