Title: GTX 560TI Blackscreen with Crysis 2
Post by: Seph on November 13, 2011, 07:00:29 pm
Hello,

when I play Crysis 2 with DX11 enabled I get a Blackscreen after several minutes. My machine is not locking up, I can switch back to windows, but the game doesn't work anymore. Is the graphics card defective?

Hi

I think we shall require a few more details and a bit of testing before coming to a conclusion I expect. Firstly can you list your main pieces of hardware please especially the PSU and motherboard etc ?

I've had exactly the same problem, you need to upgrade to the latest bios. Crysis 2 will work then, but you'll receive random blackscreens on the desktop... But at least not ingame, I hope Gigabyte will release another bios also fixing that issue.

When you say update to the latest BIOS are you referring to the graphics card or the motherboard ?

I was talking about the graphics card only. I think the latest BIOS changes the voltage to 1,037 (thats what GPU- Z shows) however according to other websites and users at least 1,050 or even 1,062 are needed.
