Title: GTX 560Ti OC Low FPS - BIOS Update fails
Post by: inCyde on December 22, 2011, 06:20:00 pm
Hello everyone,

This cars is running Battlefield 3 at 30 frames, at LOW/and ULTRA settings! I tried updating BIOS which always failed.
If I choose a BIOS with the upgrade tool (Easy Boost) it says "Flash BIOS file fail!". Autoflashing the BIOS results in "Sorry! Download bios file fail. Please check internet connection." (Firewall deactivated+Antivirus).

So all in all, I don´t know what to do. If there´s no solution I will send this card back... :(

//EDIT: I am on F32. So I think I have the newest BIOS. There seems to be no solution...?!

What BIOS version does it display in GPU-Z? It shoud read 70.24.21.00.02 if it's been flashed sucessfully.

I had similar problems flashing with easy boost, but found that using VGA Tools -- @BIOS worked.

Yes!

But I still have FPS slow downs to 1FPS. So thereĀ“s no solution?

Hi,

If the FPS is the same at low AND high setting, all i could say it's because your processor limit your graphic card. From test i have seen on internet, with a gtx 570 tested with a q6600 and a i7 2600k you have 60% difference in perf on low setting. Putting the graphic option to the maximum in the game would limit the bottleneck.

Happy Christmas.

Have you made 100% sure that you have used the correct BIOS/frimware file for the card as there is more than one revision for your card. What firmware version were you running on it before you updated ?
