Recently having this problem. All front panel wires connected correctly. All rear USBs port okay. Recently upgraded to latest BIOS ver. 9. Have had a few blue screens along with this problem. Reset BIOS to optimized default. Device manager capture attached. Thanks.
EDITED: Flashed back to a previous BIOS version 8. Apparently this problem is solved but will see.

Hi
Well it is possible that it is down to the BIOS update but I wouldn't have thought it was as likely as a bad connection or dodgy cable or something similar.

Yes, I thought that too. Might just be a fluke but it's working, at least for now. I'll post back in a few days if anything changes.
Fingers crossed. Thanks Mantis.

Tuns out BIOS update ver. 9 was flaky on my motherboard and system. No more blue screens and front USB port problems since reverting back to ver. 8. I should take the advice often given here not to update the BIOS unless it is necessary.

Yes there seems to be a lot of this type of issue recently. I think it's best not to update your BIOS unless you have real problems and know it will fix them. I don't think I have ever seen so many people reverting to their old BIOSes.
