Title: X58A-UD3R rev2.0 - Auto shutdown when overheat?
Post by: iExchange on January 12, 2012, 06:46:27 pm
Good day everyone,

I would like to know if I can have my computer with the motherboard X58A-UD3R rev2.0 auto shutdown the whole system when it is overheated? I only know that it can give out warning sound when it's being overheated.

Thank you very much!

If you have good cooling solutions eg (good airflow) then there should be no need for it to 'shut down'

I'm pretty sure that if your CPU got above a thermal point then your computer would shut down.

Confirmed! ..... especially if you are running at stock settings ...... there is several thermal trips to stop the system frying.
