Title: Realtek driver won't install
Post by: jerrybrown11743 on September 14, 2009, 06:15:43 pm
I have GA-P31-S3G motherboard. Can't install the Realtek High Definition driver. Installation begins ok, but terminates with message saying install failed. It reports error code 0x0000227. The device manager shows a yellow exclamation mark on the Realtek hardware. Properties of hardware says, "This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1). I've downloaded latest driver from Gigabyte and get the same results.

I'm running XP, 4G of ram and a 500 W ps. Everything else has been operating fine for 6 months. Just got around to installing sound last weekend.
