Title: GT520 Motherboard Compatability
Post by: Silvers on May 29, 2011, 11:48:04 pm
Hello,

As I am not well versed in the computer hardware area, I would like some clarification.

I own a GIGABYTE GA-MA780G-UD3H motherboard with an AMD Phenom 8450Tripple-Core Processor.
And I currently have Windows 7 installed with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 for a graphic card, and 4GB of installed RAM.

However, I recently decided to buy a new graphic card something powerful but still affordable in my tight budget.
So anyways, I saw the GIGABYTE GeForce GT520 (1GB memory) graphic card in the mall and I really liked it, since it had support for DirectX 11 and some other nice features, and was still well within budget.
And I was wondering if it was compatible with my motherboard, or would I be forced to buy a new motherboard to go along with it?

Thanks in advance. :)

Your motherboard is just fine. Put your card into blue slot , install drivers, and enjoy :)
