I've bought this mainboard 3 days ago.
I have a Phenom II X2 555 on which I used to successfully unlock all 4 cores on my older MSI 880GM-E31 mainboard.
I just can't get it to work on this mobo, though. Windows boots up fine, but every time I run Prime95 or the load gets a bit heavy the computer simply freezes. I've read about this on many forums.
I'm curious is anyone has found a solution to successfully unlock cores on this mainboard?

1.AMD 7xx series chipset mobos ,most successful unlocks
2.AMD 8xx series less succesful unlocks ,AMD started blocking some CPU-s to unlock in the CPU BIOS module
3.AMD 9xx series extremely less succesful
So revert to the board you ve had , test with older BIOS-es or upgrade the CPU.
If it s the version 1.x of the board , most probable the newer the BIOS the better optimized for FX CPU-s is.Older could mean better for Phenom 2.
