I have just bought this motherboard and I am wondering if this mobo will support the 125 Phenom X6?
It only lists the 95W as being compatible.... and these are very hard to get hold of in the UK :(
Is there an updated BIOS that recognises the 125W X6?
Cheers!

According to the website it doesn't, only the 95w. There is no updated BIOS at the moment.

hi there,
the truth is that many of the AM2/AM2+ motherboards are not actually capable of handling some of the latest AM3 CPU's. The updated BIOS for the X6 shows only the 95W version as being supported so I would guess, and it is only a guess, that maybe your board won't be updated further for the more powerful X6's.
I have sent a request to the forum moderator, on your behalf, to see if he can find out the situation regarding further BIOS updates but I know he is very busy at the moment so it might take a while before he can answer your question.
Sorry! :'(

The 125 Watt Phenom II X6 are not supported. The 95 Watt Phenom II X6 are supported with BIOS Version F2 or higher. The 95 Watt Phenom II X6 are in the early stages of being released. Look for them to be more readily availabile in the next month or two.

Hi,
I've done a bit of digging into the availability of the 95W X6 CPU's and it seems that they won't be actually released in the same manner as the standard AMD CPU's.
From what I have been able to establish, these 95W versions will be available only to System Builders or as part of a Motherboard/CPU Package. This doesn't mean that you won't be able to pick one up via the internet or some other source but that you are unlikely to find them at your usual suppliers.

I don't know if it is helpful since recently i also became the owner of the same board & while checking the compatibility list i found that this board support 125W processors(those earlier 6400+ & 6000+) but i don't understand why doesn't they support the current generation 125W CPUs? And since the best possible CPU for this board is PII 955 95W i m wondering if someone has tried the 125W CPU.

yea i put 125watt cpu in this board and it worked fine although when i checked cpu support it says its not supported so i removed it just incase it damages my 1055t 125watt cpu, put a athlon II 445 just incase lol i probs sell this board and athlon II chip and get one that supports upto 140Watt cpu .. but like i first said the motherboard did run fine with 125Watt 1055T
