I just got an i5-3570K I'm using a GB GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 and I cannot Overclock past 3.8G (stock is 3.6G).
Any idea what is going on?

Encase anyone has a similar issue, get the new Bios, apparently fixes the issue.

Have you tried manually entering in all 4 of the turbo limits for each core?
How about disabling automated power management features?
Have you uncapped your default wattage/amperage limits?

Hi all,
I have a concern and need a little help. I have just purchased the above board REV 2 and I am adding a 3570k cpu but I have read that the board will not work with this CPU if not up to a newer bios.
How do I find the bios version as I have no other CPU and if the bios is not up to date I will not be able to get into the old bios with the 3570k cpu so its a catch 22.
Any advice would be greatly welcome :)

Is it possible to return to where you purchased the board and ask them to do the bios update if necessary?
I'm sure they would have a spare cpu to install for the purpose.

Dont think this will happen as it was from an online service and not a local shop. :(
Hope the board is a new one, will the newer boards have later bios versions or are they all built to a single bios?
