Title: FLASHING THE MOBO
Post by: Larkina on March 18, 2011, 09:22:16 pm
I just flashed my GAEP45-UD3P version 1.6 mobo to BIOS FE back from FFb and it flashed like I've never seen it done before. I used my thumb drive to perform the flash. What happened was I believe I hit the END key(QFlash) and I didn't get the usual prompt screen showing you the version of BIOS being flashed but instead it just went to a black screen and executed and said that the flash had been completed. Everything turned out alright. But could someone explain to me what happened. Whenever I flashed to BIOS in the past it always goes to the screen that shows you what type of flash is being performed whether using a thumb drive or floppy disc etc. Did I do something wrong?

Hi

If it all appears to be working alright I wouldn't worry. Have you verified the current BIOS version is the one you wanted ?

Yes it was the FE version and that is what I got. Thank you Dark Mantis for reassuring me that everythings alright.

Yes I am sure that all is fine then. We will probably never really know what happened but it would seem to have flashed properly so that is what matters. ;)

Did you use the autoexec file?

If so that is why, I've seen it not show anything a few times myself, not sure why it happens sometimes but not others?
