Title: Mouse problem

Hi have  a strange mouse problem have the steelseries XAI and seems to take ages on windows screen to boot into windows without the mouse it boots up 18 secs quicker with y ssd.Asked steelseries or support and everything they but forward have checked and all ok.One thing i havnt checked is usb speed which they say should be 12 MBPS which i cant find on motherboard but being a GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 it wouldnt be a issue any thoughts on this cheers

        Have you tried mucking around swapping it to different ports...USB2......USB3 ?

Yeah have tried swapping to different ports USB2 and USB3 still the same guess i have to live with it for now and just leave it unplugged each time or just leave it  til i resolve the issue.Mouse has onboard memory flash  to store profiles that maybe a possible issue with steelseries

  can you turn off the feature as in it sounds like it's uploading the multiple  profiles to memory every time you boot

  Have you tried ......uninstall mouse driver...........delete mouse driver backup set.........reboot  and let it load with generic drivers

Also make sure that you have it connected to the rear panel USB ports only with no hub.

Does the boot delay happen with a different USB mouse attached instead ?

Well change of plans broke me steelseries mouse trying to downgrade to  upgrade my mouse now on me razer deathadder works perfect   ;)

So it was just the mouse then. I am glad to hear that your new Razer Deathadder works fine though. As a matter of interest what do you think of it as I have considered purchasing one ?

Cant get on with the deathadder it arches the hand like my mouse to be flatter   going for the  Razer Lachesis had it before suits my style and is a lot  flatter

Well thanks for your insight into the Deathadder. It does have to feel right as well as work well doesn't it ?
