Title: Video ports (HDMI/DVI) causing black screen/ "No HDMI signal"
Post by: oSparkyHD on April 26, 2016, 03:20:51 pm
So I built this computer maybe 6-7 months ago, it has the Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1 gaming in it and also the Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 7 motherboard, when I plug HDMI into the slot on the gpu my monitor goes blue and says "HDMI no signal" and goes black.. Same with he DVI port... It's plugged into the HDMI 1 slot and the monitor is on the HDMI 1 "profile" but it doesn't work. The GPU's fans are spinning and the LED is on. What gives? Can someone help? I bought it from Amazon and It should have warranty still right? Do I need to contact gigabyte and get a new one? Will this cost me any money?

Try to run the PC in safe mode and verify you are running the card or system at a refresh rate and resolution the monitor can support. I have had this happen if I did not have a matching resolution.
