Title: Z68XP-UD3-iSSD + i7-2600K overclocking?
Post by: manny1980 on July 15, 2011, 12:13:05 pm
Hi guys, I building a pc for a buddy, he would like to push it to the max, or at least as far as it can go.

Specs:
Z68XP-UD3-iSSD
i7-2600K 3.4GHz
Corsair H70 Hydro Series Cooler
8GB Corsair Dominator 1600
Cooler Master GX750W Power supply
2 x GTX 560Ti running in SLI

I would like to know if it is possible to overclock with this board and processor combo and would I be able to hit 4.4GHz?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Your friend shouldn't have any problem at all overclocking his system and might well get even further than the stated speed. These boards/CPUs overclock very easilly just on the multiplier alone and with a bit more time and effort some extra can be squeazed out of them. I would suggest doing some reading up on the subject first so the he understands what he is doing. Check here for a start:
