Title: X99Gaming 5P Memory issue
Post by: ernstvg on August 06, 2015, 08:33:27 am
The board runs with ram in slots 1_1A and 7_1D or only one chip in 1_1A
If I Add 2 RAM more to slots 3_1B and 5_1C I get continuous beep. All overclocking is disabled.
Tested RAM chips individually and all chips work. Am following the setup as per manual for 4 RAM chips. BIOS ver F2c

Did the board come with the F2c or did up date it. If you did updated it did you at lease set to the default settings? After the update. If you did update it try and pull the battery and jump out the cmos pins for about 5 mins.

Then put the battery back in and un-jump the cmos pins. Set it to default setting. Reboot and then setup the bios and then try the memory. 2 sticks are really should be in slot DDR4_3_1B and DDR4_7_1D

Plus make sure you have the memory seated all the way in. If one isn't seated in right you will get beeps. Plus one other thing to try and see if one of the slots is bad. IF you get it to boot with 3 sticks then one slot is bad.
