Title: Gigabyte Z87X-OC new F5N BETA BIOS still not fix main issues
Post by: dirtybirdy on June 18, 2013, 12:56:08 am
Hello

As topic says , my first thoughts

Quote
Improve SATA RAID performance
Enhance DDR  performance

RAM stability > low  , + 0 improve performance
CPU stability > low
SSD r/w speed lower ( - 5-10 %)
RAID r/w speed higher  + 5-10 %

Basically random BOSD when i try run any test AIDA64 , prime95 , the same in several games ...trade of SSD speed to RAID ?
Over all  after 5h tests , if you run CPU on basic clock , and you want to you RAID 0 work semi properly - is ok BETA Bios ( but remember you main SSD will work slower) , im highly disappointed  >:(

Come on GB team ... you have work harder tbh , i did not pay 170 GBP for oc motherboard with crap BIOS  on which you cant acctualy oc ... or did i ?

p.s.

And still when i connect ANY fan ( i have 8 different ) to FAN2 slot - PC don't boot at all ....  ::)

p.s.2
Below image from F4 BIOS ... stable but well.. read before , you lose RAID 0  r/w speed

I got my share of issues with this board aswell.

- CPU Fans sometimes stuck at 100% after cold boot.
- F3/F4 some USB devices disappear when transfering files to them when used in a USB 3.0 Port.
- F5 fixes the above, but causes the Videocard to go spastic. (Black Screen and then Framerate is borked untill Flashed back to F4)
