Title: USB3 Problem with GA-Z77X-UD3H
Post by: Zipsu on December 06, 2013, 01:37:58 am
OS: W7 x64

Everything was working perfectly until today when suddenly all four VIA USB3 ports stopped working, leaving me only with TWO working Intel usb ports back there, what could be the cause? Reinstalling drivers doesn't seem to make any difference, they still output power to recharge something, but OS doesn't recognize anything plugged into them. Could really use some help here, otherwise I'd have to buy a PCI card that gets its signal from motherboard headers which still work because those four stupid VIA ports are on their period! I have always had problems with them, sometimes the mouse had to be disconnected/reconnected for it to work properly and now they are just dead weight!

Do the mouse and keyboard work before you get into windows?

Here is a program you could try I don't if it will work: http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/

KB and Mouse work fine cause they are connected into still working Intel ports, but no they don't work in those VIA ports at any time, first I thought my mouse was broken when it was still connected to one of these, then I discovered none of the 4 VIA ports work anymore. I've googled through many pages with this very same issue, but all the drivers that fixed it for them do nothing to me  :(
