Title: 7950 Gigabyte Windforce GV-R795WF3-3GD constantly crashing, brand new card
Post by: angliaboy on November 23, 2012, 11:14:04 pm
Hello, trying to write this quick in case it happens again but I keep getting constant crashes, lock ups and strange screen effects with this brand new card I have just put in.

Not overclocked.

My PSU is far more than capable.

Not happening when doing anything strenuous, just browsing the internet not even watching videos

I have done an Nvidia Driver sweep.

I am running the F42 BIOS -  wanting to know if can be flashed to an F2 BIOS or not because of this:

Please note:

You can only update to a VBIOS version of the same series.

 If your VBIOS version is:

F1, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F2-F9.

F10, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F11-F19.

F20, it can only be updated with VBIOS versions F21-F29.

etc.

If you list the specs of your system it might help a little. But if I had to guess it sounds like a power issue.
