Title: USB PORTS on GA945P-S3
Post by: tippu1 on October 10, 2010, 12:48:07 am
Hi all,
I have been facing this problem with my Gigabyte 945P-S3 motherboard, if i connect a printer or USB mouse to USB ports they work fine, but if I connect any USB flash drive or USB HDD, first it might not recognize it, if it recognizes it then it probably will not read or write from the device and if it does read of write then it might render that device non-writeable for future use. Any idea whats wrong with those USB ports.

Regards,
Tippu1

Are you using the latest BIOS?  If not please try that, and please use Qflash to update the BIOS, or DOS

Also, you can try this first if you like, be sure you are using the latest Intel INF Chipset drivers
