Title: EP45T-Extreme & Q9650 Overclock
Post by: Midnite007 on August 12, 2009, 11:19:37 pm
Hey Everyone,
I was wondering if one of you oc experts could help me safely overclock my rig to anything beyond stock. I've seen people posting every setting in their bios, and i was hoping someone could help me set all of mine. My specs are in my signature and im open to any questions you may have.

Oh yeah, my processor is watercooled by a Bigwater 760i, and running at 48C when idle. My GPU is idle at 62C on stock air.

Thanks!

I found this sticky from another forum useful when I first got my Q9450:

Nice... thanks man,  I'll try again.

I find that when i try to overclock, the settings I set in the bios are not reflected in Windows.  I'm using Vista Ultimate x64, and CPU-z shows a fsb bouncing between 332.5mhz and 333mhz when i have the bios set to 340mhz x 9. Is this normal?
