Title: GA-X58A-UD3R: internet occasionally stops working
Post by: TeleJB97 on April 21, 2011, 12:47:37 pm
About once every three days or so, my internet stops working. No error, no warning, just randomly. I'm fairly sure it's the mobo because:

a) (obviously I use the onboard ethernet solution)
b) it doesn't happen to any other computer/device in the house, wired or otherwise
c) it began happening right after I completed construction of the machine

A restart solves the problem every time. It's annoying.

I'm running Win7, so I suppose it could be that too, but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone else had experienced this.

I doubt any other hardware spec info would be of any use, since it's obviously just the motherboard or OS (I would think...prove me wrong?). I'm not the most tech savvy guy in the world, but I did build the computer myself.

Any help here?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Have you had a look in Device Manager to see if the device has stopped functioning ? That is the quickest way to see if it is onboard or not.

I would also advise you to make sure that you are using the latest BIOS version and drivers for the chipset/LAN.
