Title: GA-EP45-DS3L - EPP memory do I need to set the voltage?
Post by: Quitch on November 06, 2011, 02:48:31 pm
My motherboard is currently set to detect the SPD of my memory and appears to be correctly setting it to 5-5-5-15 (assuming the blue numbers next to auto are correct). However, I see the memory voltage is showing next to auto as 1.8, but the EPP requires 2.1. Do I need to set this manually or should this also be detected and set by the board?

Hi there,

usually you need to set higher RAM Voltages manually. When you unlock the voltage control in BIOS you will notice a flashing red warning message about over volting but don't worry, this is normal and as long as you set the correct voltage for your modules everything should be fine.
