Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

If you can give me the proper model number of the motherboard including the revision number I will tell you if it is indeed possible.

Hi

None of the motherboard revisions in that series support the Pentium D820 CPU. Sorry.

Sorry DM but doesn't the Rev 1.2 board take the D820 with F6 BIOS?

To find your Revision number check along the edges of the motherboard as it is usually printed in the bottom left hand corner.

If you are referring to a molex connector then yes no problem at all. I take it that you want to attach your chassis fan directly to the PSU.

my power supply has many connectors-im not refering to a molex-its a 3 pin power plug-that would normally attach to a power header-im using a chassis fan on a molex 4 pin plug so my chassis fan header is free-i need to know if i can use the psu power 3pin plug on the chassis 3 pin fan header?

You want to connect a power lead from the PSU to the fan header on the motherboard ?

yes???A 3 pin power header-normally it would got something simaliar to a mob fan header but it doesnt have a power header respectfully-it just has to headers a cpu and a chassis fan header -like i said im using a a fan with a molex 4 plug and so my chassis fan header is free so can i use the 3 pin power plug or ? on the chassis fan header? its still just 3 pin

I am sorry but I think I must still be misunderstanding you. I can't imagine why you would want to connect the PSU to the motherboard fan header  ???

ya im not sure if u understand-psu has a black and white wired plug with 3 pins i believe its for a fan inside the psu-so i wanted to know if i caould attach it to the mob fan headerTHE plug witch attachs to the board is brown with 3 f pin holes its almost identical as the white chassis fan and cpu plugs but its brown

This is something that I really wouldn't want to decide on. Whilst the connectors sound very similar they could be wired differently. My feelings would be to not connect anything I was unsure of.

Why do you want to connect it to there anyway?

some boards have a header for the power supply OR so this is my understanding-some boards have 3 fan headers- my board has 2 one for cpu and one for a fan =like i said my fan attachs to a  4 pin molex? so my chassis or case fan header is free-so i was wondering if my simaliar 3 pin plug from the power supply could go the other fan header?

Your board should have three fan headers  a CPU fan, Sys fan and Pwr fan. They are to supply power out to fans  and nothing else.
