I have just posted an order for this board and the Intel I7 3770k cpu now since my last build was beset with bent pin issues do I make sure with this new board that there are no bent pins before i assemble or has quality control been sorted out now.

Have also purchased OCZ revo ssd Pcie board 240G, RVD3-FHPX4-240G but the motherboard is not in the tested list is there any known issues.?
Going to use internal Graphics and no hard drive just the revo drive.

Yet to decide win 7 or 8 install.

Hi Graceman

I always check the board over first before I do anything else to it. That includes the pins on the socket. I don't trust anybody that says it can't still happen regarding bent pins.

I haven't heard of any issues with the Revo cards. I run the older Revox2 myself and it works brilliantly.

As far as I am concerned it has to be Win 7. I don't trust any OS that doesn't have a Start button ...or an Off switch!

Ok I obviously will take a good look , On this motherboard G1 sniper M3 i note that its dual channel with four memory sockets is it any different using 4 x 4gb ram or 2 x 8 Gb ram

Its the same amount of ram but just thought is there any advantage one way or another?

Yes the less modules that you use the better as there is less pressure on the memory controller than if all the slots are filled. It also gives you the chance to upgrade in the future without having to dump your modules that are already in use. There is also a slight performance gain by using two larger sticks.

Found 16 Gb kits from £80 to £135 all same size ram, same memory and config all read the same except 8-8-8-24 & 9-9-9-24 plus other variants.all on same site crucial.

Why would I pay for the £135 against the £80 ?

All to fit same mother board?
