Title: GA-880GA-UD3H fan speed control?
Post by: lasitter on October 22, 2012, 08:01:10 pm
I've read the manual and it seems that the CPU fan speed can be controlled via PWM or voltage, but it looks like the other fan headers offer no speed control.

Is this right?

My previous mainboard had separate PWM headers for system and CPU fans, and I could "share" the system / case PWM signal with multiple fans while having the CPU fan run by itself as needed. It doesn't seem that there's any clean way of doing that here.

Related: I thought this was an interesting project PWM wise:

And for voltage only control, I'm considering something like this:

Any ideas appreciated.
